Helping Heroes Inc. received $1,000 worth of clothing from IC Care in recognition of veterans and their sacrifices and today’s Veterans Day holiday.

IC Care donated the donation to Helping Heroes at its Wheeling office on Wednesday. IC Care marketing and community outreach director Tate Blanchard said that the donated clothing included 72 warm flannel shirts to help veterans stay warm this winter.

"At IC Care, we pay tribute to veterans and their families every day. Our company is run by people whose grandfathers served in the U.S. Army, and we thank the veterans for their sacrifices," Blanchard said in a press conference. Said. Helping Heroes Inc. is a local non-profit organization run by and helping veterans in need. It is located in Wheeling and provides emergency housing for homeless veterans, transitional housing and pantry.

Helping Heroes also helps veterans obtain veterans services and benefits, and also includes: financial assistance to eligible people; resettlement housing; budget assistance; welfare guidance; employment placement assistance; referral to other agencies if necessary; record requests, etc. .

According to its website, Helping Heroes helps veterans in Ohio, Marshall, Brook, and Hancock counties.

IC Care is a company that provides non-medical home care for local seniors who wish to stay at home. IC Care also helps veterans and their spouses obtain funds from VA to help pay for their home care needs.
